Akira Kuromori is the captain of the Fourth Division, replacing Yachiru Unohana in said position. Her lieutenant is Hanare Masuda, who was the former Third Seat of the Tenth Division.
AppearanceEditAkira is a stately-looking woman with long blonde hair tied back in two ponytails with two strands framing her face, and brown eyes. On her forehead is a diamond-shaped marking, which she uses to replenish her Reiatsu for her Bankai. Her most noticable feature is her ample chest. While she is rarely flirtatious, if at all, her chest is large.
She frames this well by wearing a grey blouse with her division symbol on the back, one that she often leaves open over her chest tied closed with a blue obi. Over this, she wears a dark green jacket. She also wears a blue crystal necklace that is worth a big amount of money. With these, she wears a pair of dark blue pants, a shade that matches her obi, and black high-heeled sandals that are different from those worn by other Shinigami. She also wears red lipstick, nail and toe polish, and sometimes wears eyeshadow.
Akira is viewed as the "strong but silent" type. Although she will quickly relay orders and reports to anyone, she is unusually shy when it comes to general conversation. Since she is generally shy, she isn't known for talking with her fellow Captains, though she does seem to have a good relationship with Shunsui Kyōraku.
Although she is shy around her fellow Captains, she is highly talkative and cheery around those she knows very well (ex. those of her own division) and is well-known for spending time she has off with her lieutenant, Hanare, and occasionally helping her in playing the shamisen. In addition, she is also anything-but-shy in battle, bringing a commanding presence that demands respect from those around her, even her opponents.
