Sora Kōdō (香道 素蘭, Koudou Sora) is the captain of the Third Division. His lieutenant is Baiken Nanalise.
Appearance[]

Sora has short black hair with blue-purple highlights. His left eye is bandaged and Baiken claims he lost it in the Thousand Year Blood War. He is usually seen wearing a dark yukata with bright yellow butterflies on them. He is usually seen with a thin pipe called kiseru. His Zanpakutō is usually on his right side.
He rarely wears his captain's haori and only does so during wars, similarly to Kenpachi Takuji.
Personality[]
Sora's personality traits are well-defined as being highly similar to that of a fox or Gin Ichimaru as he is often deceptive to a degree, and is often seen with a smile on his face, especially in battle. He can be extremely cruel in the face of an enemy, expressing a strong joy in explaining what he is going to do to them (ex. "cut into the smallest pieces") and seems to enjoy fear.
Nevertheless, he also seems to care for his lieutenant and has worked hard in order to get her to trust him and is highly unwilling to betray that trust either. He is habitually aware of all risks in all situations, and is more so when the situation involves Baiken.
