Kenpachi Takuji is the current Captain of the 11th Division in the Gotei 13. He is the twelfth Kenpachi to hold this position, the previous being Kenpachi Zaraki. His lieutenant is Akira Zaraki.
Appearance

Kenpachi is a tall man, towering at 6'0" and weighs 214.3 pounds, making him one of the heaviest Shinigami. Nevertheless, he is considerably attractive, having long dark purple hair tied into one ponytail with layered bangs, and blue-purple eyes.
He wears the standard Shinigami uniform, and doesn't wear his captain's haori most of the time, although he will wear it in times of war. He instead wears a white scarf with his division's insignia on the inside of the collar on the back. He wears the usual white tabi and the traditional Shinigami sandals.
Personality
Kenpachi is much different from the Kenpachi's that have come before him, with the exception of Yachiru Unohana. While he is rough and somewhat cruel in battle, he is polite and highly formal when speaking with others, except Akira with whom he speaks casually. He treats Daisuke with a large amount of respect, understanding the pain and suffering he has gone through with losing Sakura.
He rarely speaks with other members of his division, or any other division for that matter, and tends to only speak with his lieutenant, Akira or Fourth Division Captain, Akira Kuromori, whom he seems to have some affection for.
